The Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer will report directly to the Maintenance and Inspection Lead and will ensure that all inspection, testing and maintenance activities with respect to rotating equipment including but not limited to preventive, predictive or corrective maintenance are performed and executed timely in quality, cost effective and safely manner, to ensure reliability and technical integrity are safeguarded and sustained for Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. Assets.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. HSE and Integrity:
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and regulations, HEB policies, Life Saving Rules and general HSSE Work Culture.
  • Lead / Involved as technical expert in Management of Change and Risk Assessment evaluations (plant change, downgraded situations, maintenance plan deferrals, derogations)
  1. Personnel:
  • Provide awareness training on Reliability Engineering and preventive and corrective maintenance for all types of rotating equipment including but not limited to Gas Compressors, Power generators, Pumps, Motors, Air compressors and Diesel engines.
  • Provides mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering their professional development to meet the required competency standards
  1. Maintenance:
  • Ensure maintenance, testing and inspection program for all rotating equipment are executed safely, timely within the allocated budget and in line with Maintenance Integrity Excellence (MIE) and Computerized Maintenance Inspection Management System (CMIMS) processes
  • Drives surveillance audits to ensure all Preventive Maintenance (PM) / Corrective Maintenance (CM) / Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) / Condition and Performance Based Maintenance (CPBM) of rotating equipment meeting Company’s Inspection Maintenance Practices, performance standards, regulatory and statutory requirements to safeguard /sustain technical integrity
  • Responsible to organize, supervise / manage equipment major overhaul, preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Identifies gaps and area for continuous improvement and optimization in maintenance and integrity strategies for rotating equipment and related systems.
  • Support failure root cause analysis on equipment trip and failure for continuous improvement
  • Establish and execute Company Reliability Management Methodology (RMM) philosophy, the primary compliance document of the Asset Performance Management (APM), Failure Reporting, Analysis & Corrective Action system (FRACAS) and Bad Actor Management (BAM) in accordance to regulator guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Provide hands on frontline troubleshooting support on rotating equipment trip / failure.
  • Leads technical discussions and decision-making processes to address complex rotating equipment challenges and issues.
  • Liaison, supervision and managing vendor or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) on maintenance services support, troubleshooting, technologies upgrade and critical spare inventory
  • Utilise Asset Performance Management to ensure integrity and anticipate failures

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of engineering qualification or equivalent in mechanical /Turbomachinery discipline
  • At least 10 years experiences in Rotating Machinery (Compressor, Pumps, Diesel Genset, Motors) within Oil and Gas Industry
  • HSE awareness.
  • Trained in a particular trade associated with Rotating Equipment (e.g. mechanical or instrument)
  • Strong Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and application of defect elimination processes
  • Exposure to the maintenance and reliability engineering software and/or tools are added advantages i.e. DNV MAROS/TARO, Reliasoft tools, PI Process Book, APM software’s i.e. P2Energy/AVEVA/GE/SOLAR/etc.
  • Familiar with Onshore & Offshore Reliability Data (OREDA) handbook database and reliability technical parameters i.e. failure frequency, MTTF/MTBF, MTTR.
  • Hands-on maintenance on rotating equipment / systems are added advantages i.e. Siemen, Ariel, Volvo Penta, Caterpillar, ClydeUnion, Ingersoll Rand
  • Capability and/or skills to do troubleshooting
  • The ability to communicate at all skill levels and must be fluent in written and spoken English.
