Operations Technician, Electrical

The Operations Technician, Electrical reports directly to Deputy OIM, SF/BT and responsible:

• For the execution of electrical maintenance work on the offshore facility to ensure the plant is kept in a constant state of safe and efficient operation readiness.
• To assist in other discipline tasks as part of the multi-skill concept.The Operations Technician, Electrical reports directly to the Deputy OIM, SF/BT for the execution of electrical maintenance work on the offshore facility to ensure the plant is kept in a constant state of safe and efficient operation readiness.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for the safe execution of PM/CM work for an allocated area of the facility through the application of the Permit to Work System and adherence to safety procedures & culture.
• Ensures continued plant safety, integrity and reliability through the application specific work/engineering standards and statutory requirements
• Responsible for the execution of routine, preventive and corrective maintenance for all electrical equipment & systems.
• Troubleshooting of electrical problems and failures
• Provide fast response and turnaround time for critical maintenance jobs
• Ensures that Supervisors are kept informed of the progress and current status of the equipment and work undertaken
• Recording of work history in the CMMS – MAXIMO system to enable data reporting and collection in supporting analysis of facilities performance and failures
• Ensure critical equipment spares/consumables

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess at least an diploma or BTEC – Level 3 or relevant qualification from recognized universities/academic institution
• Possessing a Suruhanjaya Tenaga LV Chargeman certification would be an advantage but not compulsory and could be obtained while in service
• Possess at least six (6) to eleven (11) years of hands-on experience in production & maintenance in the oil and gas industry
• Proven hands-on operations/maintenance & troubleshooting experience on a wide range of plant electrical equipment & systems e.g. power generation, electric motors, switchgears, electrical switching, utilities etc.
