  • To provide compliance and regulatory support to both external and internal stakeholders, especially for Hibiscus Malaysia’s Sabah Assets.
  • To resolve daily operational issues such as import/export documentation discrepancies, tariff classification, valuation, etc. to ensure correct duty is paid and a timely customs clearance of goods for HM Sabah Assets.
  • To provide customs consulting services regarding compliance, current trade initiatives including blanket claims, duty recovery, advance rulings, audits, tariff classification, and drawback claims.



  • Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant requirements especially for the Sabah region.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters to ensure understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain compliance measures throughout the organization.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Investigate and address any compliance violations or issues within the organization.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging compliance trends to continuously improve the compliance program.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support compliance efforts across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.



  • Possess at least a diploma in Business Management Studies or any other equivalent certification.
  • At least five (5) years working experience in the field of freight forwarding, with experience in Customs compliance related work.
  • Experience in Customs compliance audits is preferred.
  • Experience in import/export items and documentation.
  • Knowledgeable in current Customs requirements
