DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and play a key role in new business venture projects where required.
  • Assist in handling corporate finance function in relation to any corporate due diligence, circular and corporate proposal of the Group.
  • Assist in the preparation of Group annual business plan, specifically asset-related areas.
  • Prepare and present budgeting and planning, forecasting and reporting for the group.
  • Overall responsible for cash flow planning, including liaising with treasury and funding teams for drawdown of available facilities.
  • Key focal point for all accounting technical related areas (e.g. accounting policies and financial report standards) in the Group, relating to operational assets.
  • Responsible for review and analysis of monthly financial statements, including information included in quarterly announcements to Bursa Malaysia, particularly in terms of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Co-ordinate and review all subsidiaries and assets’ monthly financial statements.
  • Liaison with external auditors, internal auditors, tax agents and company secretary for required statutory requirements.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as prescribed by the Asset Controller to assist in achieving Finance Department’s objectives.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a professional qualification from an internationally accepted accounting body (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, CPA etc.) or Degree in Accounting
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience, with a minimum 3 years’ experience in management role.
  • Strong understanding and relevant experience of the oil & gas upstream (E&P) industry is a key advantage.
  • Experience in M&A, including due diligence scope.
  • Experience in auditing and corporate finance.
  • Understanding of requirements of public listed environment in Malaysia
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Able to work independently to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and able to be hands on in preparation of deliverables.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
  • A self-starter, proactive, meticulous, well organized and possesses strong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills.
