The Engineer, Wells reports directly to Manager, Wells Engineering and responsible:
- For all the well work activities planning, engineering, contracting, material management, programming, execution & evaluation of Well Intervention, Workover & Production Enhancement activities via Coil Tubing, Slickline, Electric Line, Braided Line, Pumping & Well Stimulation.
- To ensure safe execution, properly engineered, planned and risk assessed all well work activities to meet production target as per approved WPB.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- As an Engineer in Charge (EIC), to manage all the well work activities by ensuring properly engineered, planned, risk assessed, safe execution following the approved work program and operational & HSE guideline of Company.
- Responsible for checking available data and recommend cost effective and feasible technical solution to ensure fit for purpose after receiving the work request from Reservoir Surveillance Optimization (RSO) team.
- Responsible to prepare well technical overview work pack, finalizing the job cost, securing technical concurrence from JV partner’s and Regulator’s.
- Responsible and lead coordination with all service technical partners for material / tool / product management, resources, technical evaluation proposal, performing conveyance simulation and programming of the proposed well-work activities.
- Responsible to prepare and distribute the approved AFI, work program and NOWIP (if required) timely.
- Responsible for monitoring daily operation progress & respond to any inquiries in terms of engineering, update the work activities status accurately together with the costing.
- Monitor Unwanted Event Report (UER) and accurate reporting of NPT.
- Responsible to update well file history and schematic after post job execution. Prepare the Action After Review (AAR) discussion to get lessons learnt to be used for improvement.
- Responsible for preparing and distribute approve end final well intervention report timely.
- Responsible for creating/issuing purchase request & purchase order, tracking and ensuring job costs are within budget and providing the accrual timely, and reviewing invoices and expediting the SES completion timely for payment processes to service partners.
- Responsible to ensure contracting are in place by developing the right strategy and required contract timely, evaluating the tendering process and be as a Contract Holder (if assign)
- Offshore assignment as needed for supervision or management / HSE visit.
- Responsible for involving and resolving any internal / external audit matter.
- Prepare and participate/presenting as Company representative (if assign) for any Technical workshop / Paper presentation / exhibition and etc internally and externally.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess at least a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in an engineering discipline (preferably in Petroleum Engineering) or equivalent qualification from recognized universities/academic institution.
- Must be registered as Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Possess at least five (5) to ten (10) years of working experience in oil and gas, most of it should be associated with offshore operations and primarily focused on well intervention, well completion, well integrity, well remedial and well stimulation operations.
- Knowledge and experience in Production Technologist, well workover & well P&A are an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and specialized software for well simulation, tubing stress analysis, gas lift design, and tubing design nodal analysis are an added advantage.
- Excellent liaison, communication, and networking skills; experienced in contracting and managing vendors both technically and commercially.
- Demonstrated good leadership and teamwork; fluent in English, both written and spoken.
